The other two organizations are the Los Angeles Unified School District Youth Services program, which organizes sport and recreation programs for elementary and middle school students, and the City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Department.

The CHARACTER COUNTS! sm Partnership hosted its fifth annual honor banquet to recognize award recipients on May 16th in the Empire Room of the Sportsmen’s Lodge. Anita DeFrantz, member of the International Olympic Committee, was the keynote speaker.
