Banning Football Great Michael Alo Dies at the Age of 53

The LA City Section has lost one of its greats. Michael Alo, the 1980 National Player of the Year and a Banning High legend, died January 9 at the age of 53. He is considered by many as one of the best football players ever to hail from the LA City Section.

Alo etched his name in City Section lore by leading the Pilots to three consecutive City championships playing running back, linebacker and punter.
