The CIF Los Angeles City Section welcomes Ann Young, Sherman Oaks CES, as the new League Commissioner for the Valley League, and Joe Reed, Huntington Park High School, as the new League Commissioner for the Eastern League.
Ann and Joe will start in the position heading into the new school year.

JULY/AUGUST 2008 REMINDERSLA 84 FOUNDATION New Water Polo Instructional Manual The LA84 Foundation has Web-published a new sports textbook titled "Water Polo for Players and Teachers of Aquatics." Written, by Pete Snyder, a professor and assistant Atheltic Director at Fullerton College. The richly illustrated 148-page book presents the fundamentals of individual and team skills in water polo. "Water Polo for Players and Teachers of Aquatics" becomes the tenth instructional manual to be published on the LA84 Foundation website for the benefit of coaches and athletes. Like the other books on the website, "Water Polo for Players and Teachers of Aquatics" is available at no cost to at www.LA84Foundation.org
NEW TRANSFER ELIGIBILITY BYLAWS On May 4, 2007, The CIF Federated Council approved statewide bylaws regarding high school student-athlete transfer eligibility. The CIF has produced handbooks as guidelines to assist student-athletes and their parents/legal guardians in understanding the transfer eligibility standards and the process that CIF-member schools and administrators take in determining transfer eligibility. These handbooks can be obtained by going to the CIF state website.

Children's Health Access and Medi-Cal Programs - CHAMPS Bridge-Norena & Associates Insurance Agency In addition to the No-Cost/Low-Cost insurance options provided by CHAMPS, Bridge-Norena has been contracted by the Los Angeles Unified School District to provide at-cost "student time" and "24 hour" insurance coverage plans for students in need of purchasing insurance coverage.
