SoCal Honda Dealers Named Title Partner of CIF Los Angeles City Section
CIF Sports Properties and Southern California Honda Dealers today announced a partnership as the title sponsor of the CIF Los Angeles City Section. Under the partnership, the championships will officially be known as the CIF Los Angeles City Section SoCal Honda Championships. The partnership brings together the CIF Los Angeles City Section and SoCal Honda Dealers with a shared commitment to support high school athletics and recognize the coaches, student-athletes, and communities that make high school sports an important part of daily life throughout Los Angeles.
The partnership will provide SoCal Honda Dealers with visibility across CIF Los Angeles City Section championship events and associated promotional and digital platforms, while creating opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of the individuals who make an impact throughout the City Section.
In addition to its championship event title sponsorship, SoCal Honda Dealers will support the launch of the Helpful Hands Award, recognizing one male and one female coach from the Los Angeles City Section each year for their contributions to their teams and communities. The award will shine a spotlight on coaches whose impact extends beyond competition and who demonstrate a commitment to developing and supporting their student-athletes.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome SoCal Honda Dealers as the title sponsor of the CIF Los Angeles City Section Championships,” said Ian Frost, Regional Vice President, CIF Sports Properties. “This partnership represents more than a championship entitlement: it is an opportunity to bring together two organizations that share a deep commitment to the young people and communities of Los Angeles. Championships are among the most meaningful moments of the high school athletic experience, bringing student-athletes, coaches, families, and communities together to celebrate the culmination of an incredible season. Having SoCal Honda Dealers alongside us allows us to elevate that experience while creating new opportunities to recognize the people who make education-based athletics so impactful.”
"We are thrilled to partner with CIF LA City Section and support their student-athletes,” said Jeff Christoffel, President of the SoCal Honda Dealers Board. “It's what SoCal Honda is all about, being helpful in the community. We believe that high school sports teach invaluable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and dedication. Investing in these young people is an investment in the future of our entire community".
Titling for CIF Los Angeles City Section Playoff Events
The CIF Los Angeles City Section values the media outlets that have long supported high school athletics throughout the Southern California region. We ask these organizations to continue that support by using the official title for CIF Los Angeles City Section events whenever possible: the CIF Los Angeles City Section SoCal Honda Championships. Please use this title in coverage of playoff pairings, highlights, results, etc. Thank you for your continued support of education-based athletics.
