Johnny Parada, San Fernando Hig School, has lifted LA City Section wrestling to new heights by winning the State Wrestling Championship in the 126 pound classification. CIF Los Angeles City Section has been on the up swing in the sport of wrestling for the past several years, with 4 medalist and one champion in this years' tournament, it appears the LA Cty Section is ready to compete with the rest of the state in the sport of wrestling. Sorab Movahadi, Granada Hills Charter placed 3rd in the 182 pound classification, Ali Naser, El Camino Real Charter, a two time medalist placed 4th in the 132 pound classification, and Sergio Mendez, San Fernando High School placed 5th in the 113 pound classifications. The Los Angeles City Section was well represented by all the qualifiers at the State Wrestling Championship held at the Arbobank Arena in Bakersfield, California over the past weekend.
