This is to let you know that Vicky Lagos has been selected as the Assistant Commissioner of the Section, officially starting on July 1st. This information will go out to all IAC members, as well as the State CIF Office and other Sections. The following notice will be put on the Section website:
Vicky Lagos Named CIF Los Angeles City Section Assistant Commissioner
Vicky Lagos has been named the new CIF Los Angeles City Section Commissioner, and will start officially in this position on July 1st, when the CIF Los Angeles City Section separates from the Los Angeles Unified School District Interscholastic Athletics Office. Vicky has been a staff member in the LAUSD Athletics Office since 2006, and has been in education since 1994 as a teacher and coach at Alemany, as well as John F. Kennedy High School, prior to becoming a district administrator. Vicky currently oversees the sports of cross country, soccer, tennis, and track & field. Vicky joins the new staff of the Section Office on July 1st, along with John Aguirre, who was announced as the Section Commissioner earlier this month.
