The Colts achieved Section history by becoming the first City school to win a CIF State title since 1980!

RKO first long talk about the site being crowned a state champion for Carson High School they sometimes it's like if ands or buts like some Flies what happened so I think it was very excited I got to hearing it announced that car someone like everybody start gaming in real life by three state titles and the four I just talked about personally how you felt but even that too well it's something new to me cuz I never actually ran the 4 by 1 at the state meet I've usually just like ran just like no here in there to cover for somebody else to run Sony running all those and lightest become least a chance it was like really heartwarming because like I just came back from my injury and then for me to like you know try a new event and then performed a will it was very excited for me after winning the city Championship to the team have the belief in a conference that you could win in the State title can we all do like we pray before each raised in my absolute so I before and after we pray we will talk to each other like if our bodies are taking steps to move like helping each other looks like we work together to help like each person individually well that's pretty awesome cuz you guys like lose some and I were all class of 2017 majority of us and some of us aren't our younger so it's really cool to come back and defendant in state championship again 10 mm how did you spend your off-season song got like a slight injury injury so my doctor he say didn't want me to try because he didn't want me to have like end up getting more hurt than what I was so they might I'm going to get massage you know like every other week or so and then I'll be in and do my summer homework and I life last we talked about just the spindle camaraderie that you have because of your glass  we have a great set of kids on the state and I really look like we all have my can we all get along we all work together and so I think I see you passing me like dominating compared to all the other than you think RC Voodoo Village alright first congrats on the State title how exciting found out that you guys were state champions the state and knowing that we made history I was very excited when they crowned us at state champions it wasn't an easy role but I'm glad we got through it and I'm glad we stay mentally strong too I'll do it as until you you personally were part of two awesome relay teams that took home the State Crown what does it take for a relay team to win a state championship to be focused service just knowing that we all have the same mentality and no I mean a lot of things happening and we just had to pay that we had the best outcome and just stay positive and stay motivated to get to stick around safely  looking at head obviously your what are the wind League defender City Section title of Defender State title what will it take to accomplish those three goals place a clear mind humble and just a focus Keys eye on the prize we can't get coffee and just think it's headed to us because we still have to work for yourself and do the same thing card inches do we do messages practice and just do everything that I coach applies to do play it's a positive attitude are many positive we all want the same thing for ourselves especially now a lot of us are seniors so the goal is obviously to get a full college and we just have a bond that I don't think other schools have  piranha first law congrats on the State title what does it mean to be a state champion it's a great feeling an Express with Bailey to know that you've been working hard all season and for you just to get that title at the end of the season just it's an amazing feeling of your accomplishments in unexplainable you person to relay team that also want to say Championship talk about how the unique of a discipline the relays are and how important it is to Odyssey and I'll make those handoffs an end to persevere very important for the chemistry of Munster girls we with our relay team we had a thing for praying praying praying praying God God. and so we just made sure that we kept got first that we can Chemistry Between Us and now we had more ourselves you know each time we will go out there we're like me to drop our time dispatch leave you the best I we could be have safe and off and that was just mainly the goal for the whole thing and for the whole year and so we can have Dad together and let us too set a state championships Championship song can we have a lot of people on our backs this year but that's just going to make us to even more focus more determined because we do we do one to defend our title and I feel like we Leslie can defend our title I'm just excited for the year relays I feel like we can honestly get the record we really one size play lights are chemistry together handoffs record is there so bed first of all congratulations on a City Section championships in the end 100 hurdles talking about what that meant to you personally I had a very good opponent from another team and it just pushed me to a PR that day and it was a PR and waited for all your loss that allow me to win that title and actually run a faster time so it was great feeling I day when you realize that point you qualify for state so how great was it to travel up to Fresno and compete in both the hundred it was a good Philly because I've been apart of the team for four years but that was my first time calling for stay in the individual event so it was like a milestone that that was my goal for the you're so to have accomplished it was just like a yes I mean to you to be a member of a state championship I mean it was just like a motivation inspiration type thing to know that my teammates they pulled off earning enough points to win that State title and you know for me to go to be able to support them hopefully for this next coming year I'll be able to participate and actually help score points nervous where you pacing like I've got we can win this we clinch the championship we had a younger teammate on their ninth graders so like just me being able to support them and see what they can do and just chair in the morning seeing them accomplish the title so it was great car debit first of all congratulations on a State title how exciting was that Mama when you found out you were state champion  how do you say Champion it just felt like fireworks there was fireworks going on but it just felt like broken all the hard work and everything we did to get to that point and for that success was worth it and everything just came to what wanted it to end it was just a blessing to do it again so what I mean see working hard going to be a thing that has to accomplish but are there any other factors that go into it to go out there and defend estate title  you just got to remain you got to remain relaxed and just going out there to do what you have to do don't think it'll competition you can't went out there you're going out there for one go I want to go on it is to try to defend you Champion your chant your State title and we're just going to stay remain the same  stay focused and do what we got to do and finish the talk about your pursuit of a City Section title in the hurdles the 300 hurdles how to do night I've been doing it since the ninth grade and I never will always at 400 Roadrunner until I transition to the 300 and I loved it as soon I got to really loved in a city city was pretty difficult because it was all Carson honestly Emerson in the other teams but at the end of the day it was a mission and got it done I got fit and it was still a sing I'm still thankful and grateful for what I accomplished you take a competing in in that area  is it just like checking all the other events but it's seven different Eve you have to stay mentally strong physically strong and strong  the Hedgehog line if you can be we can when they believe the strong women together he just have to stay mentally strong that's one thing acting on you off is no I can't do this I can't do that but I can do this and I can do that I know of Asia just stay focused and determined just try your best and it could be hard like it was already at Quinn in the beginning but with the help of my coaches and my family . I've learned to love it and I'm this year I'm hoping to see all my goals are hard work and determination and I will a crystal personal talk about just the thrill of achieving the great go let me know camping up in Fresno Samuel ready to compete so like everybody we basically work together we racked up the place that we needed and they want reason of spring I'm assuming triple jump shot put is that love those two goals that you looking to become a state champion  going into this since we got we're going to definitely work a whole lot harder cuz I know somebody people who's gunning for us so we got to work a lot harder and no more dedicated in focus more in order for us to win a title again right now I'm in cheer but I'm still working out during cross-country season I don't run across country but I am working out during cross-country season to stay in shape and one Springtime come will be in pretty good shape ready to jump Ortiz can this team do it again and defend state championship fall talk about real Victory when you found out that you guys are City Champs state champs the whole state of California expected to happen because we like we're such a small school and they wasn't seeing it but me myself I was excited cuz I'm just like you put your mind to anything and anything is like so I was really excited and so are my teammates your by 100 relay as the state champion talk about the thrill of victory one you guys cross the finish line in capture that title first over the fastest time we know we have people like Amy for is gunning for put a positive life positive mindset so that kind of helped us and motivated us and you know we went out there and do what we have to do can you personally one of your girls I'm sure for 2017 will be getting to go out there in a 200 and go for that Cee Championship Top-Up excitement for you personally yes now that I know what I have to do I'm going to focus more and I'm going to do my best to try to get at the top of an 200 lease turn the podium but just now an appointment is okay I'm planning for first place  croissant talk about the excitement of being a state champion it is not just me who Winnie is my team too but I did good for my part and time for sale cast of the race and won at you or Crowley Champions were you nervous lead up to that race talk about just the nerve the feelings of leading up to the race and also turn off scared because it's not first time in this just that experience was really good and like it just feel good give me the leave so that my anchor go and catch those drugs as we got a dumb anchor okay that she just terrified but I did good man Puerto Rico I had to clear my mind I want to go to the Arcadia Invitational meet and participate in the heptathlon and I hope I take top three just cuz I really like to have jacket 40 Highway favors like Yvette I just do them all and I want to do better in my her toes just want to complete this track season off Craig Lasley what have these group of seniors talking first can I talk it I just need so I just communicate with everybody I got to stay focused and actually do me instead of worried about everybody else superhero song just have fight on a Traxxas
